Established in Lesotho in 1968 and South Africa in 1994, the joint mission of CARE Lesotho was created in 2001 to promote integrated regional programming and lesson learning. CARE Lesotho-South Africa has head offices in Johannesburg, South Africa and in Maseru, Lesotho. In South Africa, CARE's areas of operation include the Limpopo, Eastern Cape, KwaZulu Natal, Mpumalanga and the Free State Provinces. In Lesotho, CARE implements programmes across the country.
